Samantha Reyes
Sam graduated from University of Illinois Chicago in 2026 with a degree in Environmental Engineering. Curiosity for the environment brought Sam to engineering but the ways of improving co-existence with nature threw her for a spiral. In pursuit of finding her path, Sam built technical experience researching Ethylene selectivity through Aramco. Before joining BSD, Sam was an assistant researcher for chitosan-biochar composites through the National Science Foundation (NSF). Sam also coached the old and the young, including a para rowing team that inspired her to intentionally design for the accessibility, presence, and resiliency of communities.
